And, I wish I had seen the request for @wchevron for his daughter to walk up to, because any suggestion other than this is wrong:

I.... I agree with every word @bbculp just said. Maybe not that "Eye" is the *greatest* track, but it's up there. You know the writing is incredible when a track with a sort of slow beat still has you ready to run headfirst through brick walls.

Wear a full Notre Dame style leprechaun outfit, but with the Leprechaun horror movie facial prosthetics. T2 might take longer, but it'll be worth it.

I'll never forget the time that George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic had their bus break down and wound up playing a show at my shitty frat house in college in 1994.

No links, just some people that I've been listening to lately, just scrolling through my recently played (that I don't think have already been mentioned):

Open Mike Eagle, Vince Staples, Casey Veggies, Blackalicious (replaying their older stuff), MF Doom, Busdriver, Kemba, Earl Sweatshirt (when he's on, he's ON), Serengeti, DRAM, Ana Tijoux (specifically a track called "1977", she's Argentinian, so being fluent in Spanish helps), STS, Pusha T, Kweku Collins, Tobe Nwigwe,

And, since I've had a couple Philly artists listed, this was a great mixtape from like 2010 or 2011 of a bunch of Roots-associated artists, with some amazing producers, too (https://www.datpiff.com/Money-Making-Jam-Boys-The-Prestige-Jam-Boy-Magic-mixtape.195982.html).

I can't believe I missed this thread. I have no stories or anecdotes that I'm willing to share in writing or in public, but I will abso-fucking-lutely contribute to the youtube track listings. And I'll start with Black Thought doing possibly the greatest "featuring" verse ever. Oh, and I'd be willing to die on the "he's the best MC of all time" hill. And not just because I'm from Philly.

I unfortunately have no pics of what happened Friday. There was a fair amount of drinking. @Ben Hobbs and I found a lovely dive bar in Utica after a dinner that also had a healthy amount of drinking. We drank a lot.

Saturday also has no pictures after the wedding. We all went back to said dive bar. We literally drank all of the bourbon in the entire bar (and maybe the whiskey, too? I lost track). There was increasingly shitty pool being played by @AaronWebstey and I. Mostly by I. The increasingly shitty play, I mean. He's actually pretty good. I think he likes an audience (of one older woman who took a very keen interest in performing impromptu medical inspections on us). There was a literal barroom brawl. @Mark_after_Dark told me I wasn't allowed to fight, so I didn't try to help break it up. The end.

I think I have standing to rule in this case. Verdict? I'll allow it, @James Lange

  • Ask Lucy Charles anything (sort of)

It is true that you become more buoyant as you get gassier while swimming, and subsequently more propulsive as you caudally expel said gas? If not, why?
