So I'm watching an overhead shot of a cyclist through the wooded park area with the brick pavers, and from the camera angle, the cyclist disappeared during a survey section. Almost like they had a massive off course crash. It was super odd to see. The best thing, the commentators didn't say one word (they're probably looking at other feeds) but it made it all that much better.
Poof, so and so disappears into the time portal obstacle.... that's a bold strategy Cotton...
Our new beer sponsor. Seriously, I had no idea this was a flavour during negotiations. @Brew_Tri, I went ahead and assumed you would approve as Chief Beer Officer.
I see that the swim is an out and back. So is it uphill one way and down the other, or more of a rolling course? Trying to develop a pacing strategy.
Keen eye @KHilgendorf ,!!! @P_Cottrell will tell you that it is uphill both ways. Nonetheless, the swim is almost flat according to our best calculations. The upshot is that there are no sharks, you can drink the clear water, and the turn point is very near halfway. While we can't really say how flat it is, we can definitely say it's flatter than the bike. The proper pacing strategy is the one that causes you to arrive at the beer keg when you are thirsty. Hope this helps.
Update: the past 2 rides have been a lesson in horrible UX. Guess it's back to fucking zwift.
Research is the backbone of progress. It just takes funny turns.
