I have been a slacker in contributing race photos or results this season, but I did get some shots from the past two weekends of racing.
I raced Rev3 Williamsburg 70.3 two weekends ago. I nailed my swim and bike, and was cruising the first 5-6 miles before stomach issues and an eventual trip to bonk-town ended my hopes of a sub 5hr race.

Last weekend I raced the Maryland Olympic and had a much better overall race.
Finished in 2:07 which was good enough for 2nd in my AG and 18th OA.

I bet you had a smmmmmokin bike split.

You remind me of Ivan Rana, the only other pro who uses a double tri-spoke setup instead of a rear disc.

The bike and the Tri-spoke set-up are most likely where our similarities end most likely....
Now, if a HED Jet disc black showed up on my doorstep tomorrow, I would not have a problem using it!

Having enjoyed myself so much at my first Fondo a couple of weeks ago, 3 days later, after maybe 1 or 2 glasses more wine than was advisable, I signed up for another one... just a baby Fondo (50 km). They made all the short distance riders start in the last corral. Maddening. It took me 30 minutes to go 11 km. After that I'd gotten around enough of the slow 100/160km riders that I could have some fun. There was no pack to ride with so I was really surprised at the finish when there was hardly anybody there!
    1st AG, 2nd female, 4th overall.
    I love my bike.

@kjrunnin - Another one of those Gran Fondos where the guy announcing the start has to ask the riders to stop laughing after he reminds everyone that it's not a race, eh?

Came in 1st in my AG this past weekend at the Lake Pearl Sprint Tri. Was really surprised, was 3 minutes slower than last year when I got 2nd AG. Had no strength in my legs on the bike and my run was about 30 sec/mi slower than last year. Guess all the fast people didn't show up this year.

Ha! It's always a race. Maybe we'd take him seriously if UCI riders didn't automatically get the first corral and a 10 minute head start.

Heart of the Rockies Oly, 2nd AG, 7th Male. Pipped at the line by the 1st and 2nd overall gals, so kudos to them in a great race. This was exactly the kind of small local race I love. Had a good day!

Calgary IM 70.3 Overall 226/863, 20/73 AG Made my swim and bike goals and missed on the run by about 20 minutes. Way too hot for my liking. For me this is a big PR at the 70.3 distance. Course was flat and fast. Met up with Baucco Squad member Jackie Hatherly and her group for a practice swim on Friday. She's pretty fast - won her AG. Nice!

Whatever you do, make sure you get a helmet that fits.
I'm not sure, but I think over this 20 mile course last weekend, I easily lost 2 minutes due to my darth helmet...

It's not often I see a clear side view on course, but I think the first thing I'm going to change is that lid. Any other suggestions?
and a bike that fits, too.

Did my first Olympic distance over the weekend at the Spudman in Burley Idaho. Awesome race with a downriver swim (with a decent current to say the least) super flat bike and run. This is a super fun race and well run.

2:15:44 good enough for 99/1754 and 8/79 age group.
Swim 18:26 (thank you snake river!)
    Bike 1:04:42 (23 mph)
    Run 49:05 (7:56/mile)

Super pleased with the results! I ran an open 10k on the 4th of July and ran 48:37 and was happy with that. Much more excited with these results! Sorry no cool action shots!

I think the power of the Schwartz would offset the aero loss.

Congratulations @brockduke21 and well done. But holy crap do I ever want to do a race where 400 people swim sub-19 minutes for 1500 m!

It is super fun - one year when NYC tri was an itu points race, the men's start nailed just the right time and the Hudson was in full force. Front pack were all in the high 12s or low 13s if I remember right.

IMC 70.3 last weekend. Not my fastest, not my slowest. Not first, not last. Yadda yadda yadda. And how about this fantastic race picture?

Whistler serves up a challenging course and you sure can't beat the view. Going back next year to race the full again on the new bike course.

Our local bridge Mile run. The huge rain deluge kept many away but I came 4th with a 5:07.

@IanL I like the placement of that sign!

Should make for a great Tinder profile pic.

CISM Military World Championship in Sassenberg, Germany this weekend. 41st in 2:01:something, and the 4th American. First time racing on a TT bike in a year for me (and only the 4th or 5th ride on one as well :# ), so that was fun in the downpour, narrow roads.
Our senior (40+ men/35+ women) did really well, taking 1st and 3rd for women, 2nd for men, and 2nd for combined senior team.
Canada was the undisputed champion of the after party.

@idking90 what was the story behind the Navy misprint?

Brett King destroyed everyone at Monte Rio Oly a couple months ago. 7 minutes ahead of 2nd. Of course, I never saw him. You guys related?

Hooker is an awesome name for a Navy guy. I hope he works on a carrier!

Oakland has super fast swims because they switch the swim starts to go with the ebb tide every year. But then T1 is super long, so your overall time won't be great.

    @KenElPescadoPelado
The story, I guess, is that the Coast Guard doesn't have its own sports program, so I actually race for the Navy every year at Armed Forces Champs, same with every other military sports championship, and then the worlds team for other sports it's probably not an issue at all, but that's just the nature of ITU tri suits. I dunno. I asked if maybe we can change it if I make the worlds team in the future, and most everybody agreed that's probably fair.
Yes, Brett is a good dude. Brett and I are not related, but we both share the fact that 4-5 years ago, we were near the very bottom of the field barely making our respective service teams, and we've each gotten a little better year after year, so that's cool. I think we are roughly even head to head, though not positive. We teased him about his socks thoroughly.
And Kyle is a pilot, forget what platform but it's not carrier-based, I don't think.

Last race of a local series. Usually the worst due to heat but actually a 90 sec PR on the course in 2:03. Attacked by jellyfish on the swim, average bike, but finally a good run. Ended up 3rd OA on the day as well as for the series. Now a lot of long boring stuff before IMFL
