Feb challenge anyone?

Aaron WebsteyAaron Webstey Administrator, Rooster Endurance Member, Rooster Endurance Officers

Thinking of setting some kind of time-based goal for myself in Feb. Like 30-45 mins a day of exercise or something like that. Anyone else challenging themselves this month?

Yes. I just picked up a stages bike and year of Zwift off their super-promo and plan on making a legitimate attempt on impossibleman. So it’s 69 (typo but it stays) min of cardio per day average this month. Mostly cycling, but I think I’ll need to start run prep if I intend to finish more than the first lap some July. Swimming can sod off.

69 minutes a day of exercise!!! Brilliant. I'm in. Today was about 85 mins so I'm already ahead!

I intended to type 60, but my thumb decided the 9 was more appropriate. Strava says I’m at 78 after today, so also a tad ahead of the curve.

I'm in. Another good attempt to be average. And this is a great idea by the way.

I'm in. Do we get bonus time if we get an actual 69 in during the month?

I'm in. 69 minutes a day is right where I want to be at this point in my training, so this is perfect.

I'm 31 minutes behind schedule, but I should be ahead after my run/bike today. I have to say 69min/day seems to be perfect for where I am in my training right now.

@Struang a single day of 69 minutes is sufficient to meet both of those definitions. Unfortunately, the challenge should be neither, and will be calculated as the mean. At least that’s for me. You feel free to do you.

I have a feeling a couple of epic x-country days will get me back into this. I've actually only missed a day or so on the original 30-45 minutes basis.

I’m slumming it at 50 min/day, but that includes 4 days off since I was single parenting this entire week. plenty of time to make up an additional 200 minutes (god that sounds like a lot when put this way…)

45.58 average, but I'm gaining momentum. Started at a steady average of near 0 for a long time before this. Don't want to pull a hammy. P.S. I'm counting my weight training sessions cause they're non-standard, all continuous lifting, high reps, with no stoppage - pretty cool, lower mass aerobic style workouts to get back into the swing of strength training. Old people do these things. (cant wait to get my arm floaties to hang with all the ladies in the warm pool on Sunday mornings!)

Well, shit @Aaron Webstey , if we're counting THOSE strength workouts, I'm WAYYYYYY over the target.

I'm at 63.75 min/day (and should eek over 69 tonight), so doing better than most of you slackers. I have a week-long ski vacation next week so that will take a toll on my average. I haven't decided how to account for snowboarding yet. It certainly is exercise.

I say count it! If it were me I would count time spent going down the hill toward the total. I counted my shoveling time yesterday!

Did it! 69.545 minutes a day.

Missed an opportunity last night to do a 4:32 run (roughly one mile for me) to come in at 69.69 min/day.

    I averaged 74.57 min a day.

It's funny, but when it was first posted I'm sure most of us are thinking, 69 minutes a day avg, that's easy. Then as the days go on, you start to realize it's not as easy as it sounds. You really need to be consistent. Especially this time of year when training volume is lower.

I blew. And sucked. And stopped counting a week ago. I probably got over 50 mins per day but definitely not close to 69. Too much on the go :(

Any ideas for March? I got some exercise in yesterday but will likely get snowed out of my swim workout tonight.
