Vaporflys - Are they legit?

so, i somehow copped the LAST pair of Vaporfly 4%s from my local running store last night. i'm so excited. I took them for a quick 5K last night and was able to mvoe pretty quickly post 3 beers and a hamburger.

anyone else have these? think they're legit or is it all marketing?

I love mine. I've run 2 marathons, a 15k, and last weekends half iron in them. PR's at every race. I will say I don't necessarily think the shoe makes you faster, my legs just feel less beat up late in races in them. If you tend to heel strike at all, invest in a bottle of shoe goo for the heel. I'll pick up another pair when these die, assuming I can find them.

I’ll let you know when I get mine tomorrow! I love my zoom fly’s so assuming what’s everyone has said about the zoom fly vs vapor fly comparison I’m sure I’ll love them even more.

The first mile is pretty severely downhill, so, you know, that's really only like a 4:45. Into a 15 mph headwind.

All I know is that they only made them up to a size 13. So, basically they're saving us big runners from the inevitable calf injuries that being big and trying to run in something like that would cause. Thank you, Nike.

@Robert Rankin I love the video but the soundtrack is what really makes it. I could also probably run a 4:37 if I had that as my walk-out music.

WOO THEY MADE THE NEXT% IN SIZE 14.
Eventually I saw a while back that the next% had 14 as a clickable option on Nike website but it was greyed out. So I wrote a script that tried every 12 hours to find whether that button was greyed out and it finally alerted me this morning that they were available so I had them overnighted so I can race in them on Sunday in a 10k WOOHOO THANK YOU IT GRAD SCHOOL

It was too good to be true got an email saying they weren’t available after all.
@bbculp I am just trying to put to use what the good taxpayers paid for.
And @M_Ware that sounds awful. I’m plenty familiar with the fact that while my shoe selection is pretty reduced as a 14/sometimes 15, it almost always appears that 15 is the absolute highest size in most shoes. Woof.
