Yup, because armed with your ideal saddle height, stack & reach, saddle to bar drop (and other) numbers, you'll be able to use that data on bike companies' tech sheets and sizing charts to find your bike.
September is the time to by a slightly used TT/Tri bike: 1)2016 models are released 2)End of tri season in Canada and 3) Rich people upgrade because of reason 1.
Can your LBS help you with a TT bike fit? Knowing your sizes, stack and reach, will help you research the brands that can accommodate your biomechanical needs. In the end, if a Giant fits you, then go for it, but I'd prefer trying out other brands.
