Our goal is to be an affordable option considering the rising cost of triathlon and we also make sure to strike a balance between having a life and still racing at a high level.
We also coach those whom have moved away a bit from triathlon and are focusing on cycling or running but still wish to blend in the other disciplines on occasion. Shoot me a email if you would like more info Dana@force-multisport.com

Sponsors, sponsors, sponsors, that's all the sport needs to succeed. How you go about reaching big $$$$ sponsors that should be the real debate. Watched a show last night about bull riding. Bull riding which being from the Northeast is not even close to being on the radar. The winners however are raking in millions in race earnings and sponsorship's. First thing that stood out to me was the denim vest the guy was wearing....Monster energy drink, Dewalt, Ford. Major sponsors likely paying a ransom to get their name on the denim of the top bull riders. You know how long they ride a bull for?? the good ones about 8 seconds. So for 8 seconds of "vest" time these sponsors are probably throwing themselves at the athletes. You know how long a Ironman is? 8 hours.
So here is the problem with my argument. You need sponsors, sponsors want people to see their logo/brand for as long as possible, yet Ironman doesn't have specatators. So although we can all surmise what this "union" needs to do, or what type of interaction pros need to have with fans it will never be more than what it is. Like it was stated above, Ironman is and always will be a participation sport. It's a niche sport, especially in this country where it can't even crack into a cable market that features 100's of tv channels. Obviously we are all just throwing our opinion out there and it is nice to see some of the pros finally step up and take a chance on something like this. However the smart ones like Macca, Crowie, Frodo, Ryf, Steffen are all doing just fine and always will. Win the race's that matter, make yourself a brand SPONSORS want to stand behind and you can carve out a nice living. I wish this endeavor all the luck but so far it appears Challenge is jumping in only to help their brand, and WTC is about the bottom line so I don't see them budging on any of the issues the "union" will push for.
Also was very surprised it showed up on the "other" site. I will also say that I was pretty disappointed with the effort. Guess it kinda ran its course for me. Couple funny moments but essentially the same as last year. I'm more interested in the videos you have been hosting from Hibbert that show the training side. I can honestly say I learned nothing about Sam Appo, nothing that makes him standout anyway which I would hope would be the point behind these videos.
