Am I a big baby or just using common sense?
I find letting out a big ol' "YEEEEEE-HAAAA! I am like [Salvodelli, or whichever shamed-or-not '00s pro cyclist not named Beloki you are comfortable with]!" always helps jack up the courage factor. And I never check my computer on descents. There's a max speed function for that.
