For the record, I don't think @Ririnette was out of line at all. It's healthy to push back. I was genuinely wondering if I was missing something. I accept that the series of tweets are cringe-worthy. I think @ellsworth53t's comments about perceiving that I was making light of the Stanford rapists actions were interesting. That certainly wasn't what I was going for.
In the end, I got the reaction I wanted. There are Australians who thought he was never convicted. This misperception appears to be pervasive. People are actually learning that Brett coerced his close friend's 14 yo daughter into a blowjob. A friend so close that Brett was godfather to the victim's sibling.
He's a piece of shit and I will probably continue to point this out whenever its called for, even if it's unpleasant. His popping off about the US selection process provided that opportunity.
@AaronWebstey your first guess is totally untrue. It's easy as pie. Depending on the service, it may not be accurate, but it's something that takes 2 seconds to check and I promise you everyone is checking all the time.
Agree with your second guess.
Another would be that you are bullshitting a sponsor or your audience about your numbers and don't want to be caught in a lie.
Another reason would be that you dislike or distrust me. That is probably the case with MaccerEx. I'm pretty sure the Octane Athletics guys hate me, but they were smart and saw this as an opportunity to market themselves to people who listen to podcasts. I hope they pick up some listeners.
