The race is July 9. (It's the Heart of the Rockies Tri). It's an Olympic with an accurate 1500/40/10 course. Mass start lake swim, average Bike, hilly run.
In 2015 we both did the chinook Olympic (that had a 46km bike) and Brent beat me by 29 minutes. However, in the race I ran 5:20 kms and this last August I ran 5:13/km for 30km in Penticton and also had 20:15 for 4.8km in the aquathon. In other words, I've improved.
More relevant info:
1. I've been doing push-ups. 2. My treadmill is broken. 3. This is my 4th straight year doing this race. 4. Brent is a lawyer. 5. I am a kitten/puppy rescuer. 6. Admittedly my biking a weak point but I have been following a loose fitnessblender.com routine for 2 months. 7. This isn't my A race, it's my AAA race.
As a general rule I don't criticize people who I know are smarter than me (with the obvious exception of @TheActualPaulo) so all I feel comfortable saying is that I'm confused by this move by Sara. On the one hand you have her personal background in the middle-east and the profile the team gives her as she fights for equality in triathlon, and on the other hand you have everything else.
Also, what's with that distorted picture of Sara on their website? It looks like the Christmas Newsletter my aunt makes every year in Microsoft Word.
