So this isn't exactly tri related but CycloCross can be some good cross training. I was wondering if anyone has any experience in the area?
This weekend I am racing Monster Cross and the course is gonna be a Muddy (Peanut Butter Mud has been referenced?), Snowy, Water Drenched, shit show. This was my first year racing cross and I did pretty well. Although I didn't get a chance to race any wet/muddy conditions. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks for a sloppy course? It is a 21 mile loop and I have no chance to preride it. So any bike modifications or riding style pointers would be greatly appreciated! Before the weather hit I thought I would have a decent chance of going top 6 but now I am a bit concerned due to inexperience...
Thanks in advance.

And be prepared to eat shit. It's not if, it's when.

@Theo yeah, I'm hoping since its 21 miles and not a standard 30-45 minutes that I get some nice fluid sections where I can just pedal and keep cadence instead of maxing out the entire time.

@rrheisler this is the tires I have on now (aka what I own) would you suggested investing in something different? They're are Schwalbe Rapid Rob, if that helps in distinguishing them.
