So I got what felt like some bad back spasms that ended my bike workout early yesterday. All night I could hear/feel a clicking by in my chest to go along with all the back pain but thought it was in my head until my wife commented she could hear it too. Went to the doctor who said I definitely have "an extra click". He did an EKG and set up an echo for tomorrow. I told a cardiologist friend of mine who said if a GP doc heard it that it was probably nothing, but when I responded you could hear it without a scope and sent him an audio recording from my I-Phone he responded, "That is weird. Wait and see what the echo shows and let me know".
Anyway - anyone here have a guess? I will like every post of the winning guess for one month. My guess is it's a bad case of suck it up buttercup.

But just for the record, as much as I like winning, I also hope it's nothing.

I think she liked me because I was the only person under 75 years old and under 300 lbs there today. I was also probably the only one who insisted on complete nudity despite her assurances it was 100% not necessary or preferred.

Had a chest x-ray today and it came back normal, although again they commented that my heart was low and my lungs were really long which resulted in them having to do the x-rays twice to try to capture as much of them as the could.
If it were pericarditis or a partially collapsed lung (both still potential explanations), both often resolve themselves. While I am glad it is heading toward the direction of nothing serious, I still wish I had an answer as to what it was and what might have caused it so I can avoid it moving forward.
