What's Going On?

The new team announcement prompted me to look back at what has transpired since I got deep into this little community.
Looking back at the three years since I teamed up with you crazies here on the Roost and on the teams, a lot has happened. Since joining TRS Racing in 2015 for the following season, I have:

-Raced my first Olympic-distance triathlon
-Attended two exercise camps
-Got married
-Raced my first half-iron distance triathlon
-Quit a job & started a new one
-Hired & fired a triathlon coach
-Bought a house & moved to San Diego
-Acquired a collection of six bicycles (ask me how many are functional)
-Raced 18 total triathlons + a duathlon
-Met up with 46 TRS Racing & Baucco Squad teammates to race, train or drink beer
...and my proudest acheivement...
-Helped to run TRS Radio into the ground & replace it with a much lower-quality podcast that appeals to 1/1000th of the audience

Looking forward to many more happenings that may or may not be triathlon-related! So, what have you been up to?

-Came to the realization that the triathlon magazine I'd helped get off the ground was going out of business.
    -Quit said magazine.
-Watched a business I'd spent 6 years building go under.
-Started working for some functional brands in the triathlon industry.
    -PR'd for 5, 10 and 15K OW swim.
-Bought a CX/gravel bike and stopped riding on the road.
-Did my first CX race and finished second-to-last.
-Started only eating bacon on the weekends.
-Donuts only after big swims on Saturday mornings.
-Only gained 7 pounds over the past 3 years.
-Watched the Cubs win a World Series.
    -Kept my dog alive.
    -Finally made it to Roth.
-Taught some people how to swim.
-Went to the dentist a couple of times.

    That's about it.

After several nudges from @ItsShug, @KenElPescadoPelado, and @GasBomb then a pile of encouragement from other forum members, I started swimming. August was my two year swimmversary and I am forever grateful to all of you.

Made a simple comment to a buddy that something has to change because I was in the worst shape of my life. Next thing I know I'm swimming and biking and entering Triathlons. Its been a great year.
