Cheap bikes of the Roost that was legit raced in recent years

Let's call this the anti BAAW. Don't feel inadequate, bring out those 1992 steel Mieles with clip ons, rims that make modern Mavic Open Pros look deep, and toe clips. Make Kalle Lasn proud.

Only twist : must have been raced in the last, say, five years.

I did my first year of races in 2012 on a 1986 Peugeot super sprint. 7 speed. 53/39 biopace chainrings. I got it for $80 in Kijiji.

I traded it to my gf's brother for a fucking walmart mountain bike. I deeply regret it. It was a little big for me but still rideable

I didn't BAAW back then but this is the best I got. I still ride that Norco but had no idea what I was doing setting it up and fitting it.

Bike from first race in 2012. Bought it in 1987 or 88?. Sold it in 2013 and wished I hadn't. Stupid. Ugly color. 6 speed rear cluster with the Shimano Biopace 53/39 up front. Sure seemed easier to pedal in 1987.

    Ugly color.

Dude. If current bikes looked as cool as this thing, I’d probably buy one.

Mine was one of these with aero bars. I proudly rode it with running shorts and a Dave Scott Saucony running top for my first few races.

It was/maybe still is for sale on a Quebec bike Group on FB. I'll try to find the post for you. I remember it being S or XS.

Pretty sure there's one hanging in a barn in Wood Point, NB as well
