You favorite athletic podcasts?

Okay friends... I'd love to hear that sweat smooth voice of TRS but we haven't in a while. I do appreciate me some TPS from @Zach Miller and @EmilyCocks. What else are your go to athlete podcasts and why?

I'll start with my current and that is "Ten Junk Miles" as it rotates from fun/drunk episode to long (2-4 hours) serious interview formats. Great mix and good chemistry.

I have a few on my list:

    Babbittville Radio
    IMTalk
    IMTalk's Legends of Triathlon
    If we were riding
The Forward (controversial when you see who it is by)
Sparta Chicks Radio (because I have been a guest on there so I am bias but also a really good podcast)
    The Hidden Athlete
    The Howie Games
Tough Girl Podcast (another one I have been a guest on!)

Why? I like to hear about a range of different athletes in different sports. Also different people in their interview styles. Some of the interviewees annoy me so that's also good to have a bunch I can choose from!

Like @rangamel, even though I was prepared to hate it, I enjoy The Forward podcast. @Kelly O'Mara ‘s While We Were Riding is a favourite, too. I’m so glad @EmilyCocks’ best music ever along with @Zach Miller’s TPS is back after the off season. I also get a kick out of Cycling Tips, imagine if Big Bang Theory was set in Boulder.

I don't have a commute (like I could listen to podcasts as I walk from my bedroom to my couch) and I don't listen to things when I workout, so I actually am a bit low on podcast listening, but I used to listen to TRS obvs when there were new ones, and I listen to the Ironwomen interviews sometimes and Emily and Zach's preview show when I want to know what's going to happen.

Because I get stuck listening to the husband's podcast choices when he's doing strength, I have listened to the Forward some and it was decent the first year, that annoying Malcolm Gladwell one sometimes, and if you want California politics or education policy podcasts, I am here for you. If you're looking for completely not sports-related, I used to listen to The Moth and Risk! when I drove to LA and back.

Other than news, my only sports podcasts are occasionally @Sralston on “The grind” and then mostly just Crosshairs Radio and BikeshopCX, both about cyclocross racing, the latter a bit more about tech (I find myself skipping episodes of that more often)
Crosshairs will also cover MTB World Cup in the CX offseason, or at least he did last summer.

I'm lucky enough to drive almost an hour each way to work. I sort of rotate through several:
Fat Black, TPS, Tower26, Ask a cycling coach, Strength running, Tim Ferris, The Brendon Show (can't do Tony Robbins sorry). Ones I used to look forward to that aren't around - TRS, Real Coaching,DC Rainmaker, Ask Prof Noakes,

As @Craig D said, Ask A Cycling Coach by TrainerRoad is pretty great. Lots of great advice without being dry.

IM Talk is decent - the hosts are enjoyable, but it's hardly essential.

The JJ Redick Podcast is surprisingly good, and doesn't focus on basketball exclusively.

The best podcast out there is still How Did This Get Made?

Dirty John was a good podcast series. Kind of like Serial--told the story of a murder and what led up to it.

Yeah, @Craig D , what happened to Ask prof Noakes?
It stopped right about when their lawsuit vs. the government appeared to resolve in favor of Noakes side. I'd love to hear @TRS_tri @Ben Hobbs discussion with Noakes.

I find endurance athletes to be a bit long winded and monotonous(ba-dum-tis).

    Endurance Podcasts:
The GCN Show-Not a podcast but still a good 20 min every week recapping cycling

    Other Stuff:
All Fantasy Everything: A group of comedians that draft the real world(Taco bell menu items, rap albums, and the like)
Doug Loves Movies: Also a bunch of comedians doing movie trivia
ID10T: Rebranded Nerdist podcast with pretty cool interviews on all topics in pop culture
Master Brewers Podcast: Uhhh self explanatory.

I like the old time radio shows, like Dragnet, X Minus One, Johnny Dollar, etc. If you can get your hands on Afghanada, a Canadian fictional series about a squad in the Afghanistan war, it's worth a listen.

Here’s my list. I really only listen to podcasts now except for hard trainer sessions. Has a little bit of Triathlon and a few others that are similar to Serial podcast, although not as good.

    IM Talk
    The Kona Edge
    The brick session
    Babbitville radio
    Legends of Triathlon
Do it yourself podcast (I’m in one episode!)
    Criminal

To me, Babbitville is about the guests, not the style.... right? Style is peripheral IMO, and I'm ok with his anyway.
FWIW, Bob's a genuinely cool guy in person.

Tad I agree that Babbit is cool in person, I've crashed his Kona party. I also usually listen to things for the story of guests but for some reason I don't usually get the story of the guests I'm looking for out of his podcast. That said, it's been a while since I tried to listen to his and to be fair I could listen again.

If the athlete has a good personality they can carry themselves with Bob's interview.

However, those athletes with no personality come off even worse with his "how the heck are you? what sports did you do growing up" approach.

That was the good thing about Ben's interview style--he usually got people to open up. I never thought Andy Potts would talk about his days at the Naked Mile in public. But, Ben got it out of him.
